Birdie

$29.00

Like the Doublar, this smaller ball Birdie is created by reCharge class. It is made of medical grade silicone for a fantastic balance between firm and forgiving. The small size makes it compact enough to take with you anywhere, but the string means you can easily manoeuvre it as required around your body. It is specifically non bio-degradable to ensure it lasts and doesn’t disintegrate over time.

We use this ball for a lot of shoulder and back pain trigger points. By pressing the ball against a wall and then leaning into it to search for tender areas. Gently move around, or try to move the associated joints to reorganise the local muscle tissue and fascia.

Another fantastic use is for releasing the feet. Place the ball on the ground while holding on to the rope, and then place one foot on top of the ball - anywhere is fine, but generally we don’t bother with the heel. As you place more weight on the ball, gently bend your knee and ankle until you get both the foot massage, and a calf stretch. Once you have both, you can rotate your knee and ankle from side to side to adjust the stretch and massage area for a few seconds, before moving the ball to the next area under the foot. No area is wrong, but some will be more tender than others!

Movementality acknowledges the Whadjuk people of the Nyoongar Nation as the traditional custodians of the land on which we live, work and move. Movement and dance has been part of Aboriginal culture since the beginning and we pay hominage to this rich history when we ourselves move. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging and acknowledge that the land we move on was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
